Alert to PTSD sufferers:
This video may trigger feelings that you can’t deal with right now. Please proceed with caution, or not at all if you don’t feel ready to face the trauma of your past.
I am truly sorry that nobody could help you at the time, but please bear in mind that everyone has their own burdens, and perhaps they just weren't able to help you cope with yours at the time. Forgive them, forgive yourself. Finding ways to move out out the pain vortex can change your life and theirs. Help an abused child to talk, to give a voice to their hurt. Please never give up.
Parents and others who care for children: If your child has clammed up and you suspect something horrible happened, it may help for them to watch this video, but please watch it first, before they do. You are the best judge for what is best for your child. If they talk, and it’s not good news, please seek professional help as soon as possible.
We can't change what happened, but we can change help then with their burden. Some people hide their hurt. It’s only when- too many years later- the pain is overwhelming, that abused kids find their stolen voice.
This video is made with love and posted with the heartfelt hope that it will prevent one child (hopefully more) from the burden of pain carried for many years, please tell them:
You didn't do wrong!
(Please share if you think it will help a hurting child)
